Now he stands there live-sized (if you can say this of a bread), is photographed by unaware Japanese tourists, is climbed by kids, sneered at by passerbies - it must be horrorfying for him. Couldn‘t they have put his monument anywhere in the deepest forest or at least next to the locomotive shed of Erfurt where he can dream either of being left alone or of being given a ride in the driver‘s cabin? No, of course not, it had to be noisy old town...
