The idea about Bernd

The official baker of Bernd is the 31 years old Tommy Krappweis from Munich - writer, stuntman, actor, host, musician, director and movie fanatic. This multi talented person used to sit with a friend in an Italian tavern one day when a waiter was serving a plate of bread. This was the inspiration for Tommy Krappweis to draw a sketch of a round shaped bread - which was called „Bernhard the Bread“. This idea made in a tavern later became the famous tin loaf, Bernhard became Bernd (that‘s the name of Tommy Krappweis‘ dog) - and Bernd the Bread became a minor part in the Chili show. Soon this minor part changed to a major part and Bernd the Bread became a legendary character.

Correction: Unfortunately we made some mistakes in the upper text as Tommy Krappweis told me. Let‘s get himself a chance to speak:
„It isn‘t quite correct that way. My dog isn‘t called this. I don‘t even own a dog. My uncle‘s name is Bernd Krappweis. And it‘s true that the first bread drawn on the napkin was round shaped - but the second one was edgy and already looked like Bernd or rather like his real role model Norman Cöster who was sitting in front of me. Just with shorter arms.“  I apologize for this wrong statements...
